The most important news of 2025 was the birth of our third grandchild, Myles, to Derek and Becca on the 29th of October.
He was 3 weeks early, but everything went well and he is growing steadily from his initial weight of 3.5 kg (almost 8 pounds).
He sounded as healthy as he looks in this picture with Becca when he was a few minutes old.
The first half of 2025 was taken up by Neil sailing Milvina home from French Polynesia, with a variety of friends as crew.

The overall  route is shown here, and included a couple of passages of over two weeks, several of 1-3 days and of course many day sails.

Our year started in with a visit from Michael and family, including of course their dog, Gracie, seen here on the trail behind our house.

We started 2025 sailing on Hiva Oa in the Marquesan Islands, as we did in 2024.

This shot if from the boatyard before launching.
We would liked to have climbed Mount Temetui, but the heat would have made it very tough
We ended with Milvina being piped into Quathiaski Cove by our neighbour and anchoring just in front of our house.
