People in Honolulu look
on Kauai as a rural vacation spot. We certainly found is pleasant, and
much less developed than Oahu. Only realistic anchorage was in the
Nawiliwili Bay, which required some bureaucracy and port fees. It was
very secure, and the local were friendly. We rented a somewhat beat-up
car very cheaply and had a look around. Nothing spectacular on the island, but pleasant hikes and scenery |
